  <title><![CDATA[The American Military Cemetery ]]></title>

  <description><![CDATA[<img src="https://en.suresnes-tourisme.com/Local/gus/files/2593/smallDSC04386.jpg"/><p style=\"text-align:justify\">This <strong>cemetery</strong> was founded in 1917 by the &quot;Graves Registration Service&quot;, and opened in 1919. A place of remembrance covering <strong>3 hectares,</strong> it is the <strong>only cemetery in Europe</strong> where graves from <strong>both World Wars</strong> are placed <strong>together.</strong></p>

<p>Created in 1917 by the &quot;Graves Registration Service&quot;, this <strong>cemetery </strong>was opened in 1919. A memorial site spanning <strong>3 hectares</strong>, it is the <strong>only cemetery in Europe</strong> to combine the graves of those fallen in <strong>both World Wars I and II</strong>.</p>

  <title><![CDATA[The Fortress and the 8th Signal Corps ]]></title>

  <description><![CDATA[<img src="https://en.suresnes-tourisme.com/Local/suresnes/files/1989/small8RT_Mont-Valerien.jpg"/><p>One of 16 fortresses built around Paris between 1840 and 1845, <strong>Fort Mont-Val&eacute;rien</strong> dominates one side of a hill that reaches 162 metres (or 540 feet) at its highest point. It is home to institutions such as the 8th <em>R&eacute;giment des Transmissions</em> (Signal Corps), the <em>Colombier militaire National</em> (National Military Dovecote), the <em>Mus&eacute;e de la Colombophilie militaire</em> (a museum dedicated to the history of military carrier pigeons) and the <em>Mus&eacute;e annexe des Transmissions</em> (Signals Museum).</p>
