"The Avenue Verte London - Paris" is a cycle route stretching 406 km (247 miles). he French section, linking Paris to the Channel Port of Dieppe, covers 246 km (153 miles). It includes special traffic-free voies vertes (green lanes), as well as some sections shared with motorists.
The Avenue Verte London < > Paris is specially waymarked for cyclistsand includes an English Channel crossing with the Transmanche Newhaven-Dieppe service, landing in Normandy.
On the British side, the Avenue Verte London < > makes use of the existing National Cycle Network of cycle routes, , heading south out of London, crossing the North Downs and through Sussex to the South Downs.
On the French side of the route, you make your way to the French capital via well-signposted quiet roads and voies vertes reserved for non-motorised traffic, leading you across the following French départements (similar to UK counties): : Eure, Oise, Val-d'Oise, Yvelines, Seine-Maritime, Hauts-de-Seine and Seine-Saint-Denis."
